「鑑みる」の用法 (How to Use the Japanese Word "Kangamiru")

　最近、「〜に照らして考える」という意味の言葉「鑑みる（かんがみる）」の間違った使い方が目につく。先に日本原子力学会のウエブサイトに、『…「2011年春の年会」は、東北地方太平洋沖地震の影響、および福島原子力発電所の状況等を鑑み、中止することとなりました…』という文を見た。辞書の用例によれば、「を鑑み」でなく、「に鑑み」というのが正しい。「〜を考慮して」という表現との混同があるのだろう。

　けさ町内の回覧板に添付されて来た、堺市建設局公園緑地部長の名による通知にも『…東北地方を中心に大きな被害が発生している状況を鑑み、堺市では…「浅香山浄水場つつじの通り抜け」を中止…』とあった。「〜を考慮して」といえばよいものを、通知に威厳を持たせようとしての計らいか、「鑑み」などという古い言葉を使うから、国語の知識のボロが出る。目下、いろいろなところで東日本大震災に鑑みた自粛などが行なわれる時期である。「鑑みる」を正しく使って貰いたい。

The rather old Japanese word kangamiru to mean "in the light of" should come after the particle ni. These days, however, I have seen the improper use with the particle o in the followings: the statement at the Web site of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan to cancel the spring meeting and the statement of the Construction Bureau, Sakai City, to cancel the Azaleas Walk Through at Asakayama Water Treatment Plant. Now, it is the occasion that many events are canceled in the light of tragic news of Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. So, I wish that the word is used correctly.
