ヒメオドリコソウとタンポポ (Red Deadnettle and Dandelion)

　写真上、ヒメオドリコソウ（姫踊り子草、シソ科）。2011年4月3日、堺市・鈴の宮公園で撮影。写真下、タンポポ（蒲公英、キク科）。4月14日、泉北下水処理場前で撮影。掲載が遅れたが、どちらも春の到来を告げる野の花である。

The top photo shows red deadnettle, also called purple deadnettle or purple archangel; botanical name, Lamium purpureum; family, Lamiaceae; taken on April 3, 2011, in Suzunomiya Park. The bottom photo shows dandelion; botanical name, Taraxacum Cass; family, Asteraceae; taken on April 14, 2011, in front of Semboku Sewage Plant. These are the field flowers that tell us the coming of spring, though I was quite late to post the pictures.
