Wandering Jew, also known as River Spiderwort, Small-Leaf Spiderwort, Inch Plant, Wandering Trad and Wandering Willie; botanical name, Tradescantia fluminensis; family, Commelinaceae. The photo was taken in Suzunomiya Park, Sakai, June 23, 2011. The name Wandering Jew is shared with closely related species T. pallida and T. zebrina.
This plant grows in a dark corner of the park and has small flowers. Therefore, it is difficult to take a clear picture of these flowers. Last year, I took the photo of a piece of this flower in a closer view. It showed the details of the flower better, but the information of the scene was lost in it.
