日部神社 (Kusabe Shrine)

　日部（くさべ）神社は、わが家の最も近くにある神社。所在地の町名は神社名と同じ「くさべ」だが、草部と書く。本殿前の石燈籠に製作日の記録として「正平二十四 [1369] 年卯月八日」と彫られていることから、本殿は南北朝時代から室町時代にかけての建造とみられ、本殿と石灯籠は1917年に重要文化財指定を受けている（文献1）。（写真は2011年12月26日撮影）

The Kusabe Shrine is the shrine closest to our home. The street name of its location is also Kusabe, but the first of two Chinese characters used for the street name is different from that of the name of the shrine. The date of manufacture of the stone lantern in front of the main building of the shrine is carved to be April 8, the 24th year of Shōhei (1369), so that the shrine is considered to have been constructed during the Nanbokuchō and the Muromachi periods. The stone lantern and the main building were designated Important Cultural Properties in 1917. (The photo was taken on December 26, 2011.)
