オランダ、ベルギー運河の船旅 １１ (Cruise on Canals in the Netherlands and Belgium -11-)

キャビンから見た4月18日早朝のロッテルダム港。正面の建物は独特な形をしている。私たちの船は前夜から、その岸壁に横付けになっていた。この日の8:30、港からバスに乗り、
世界最大の花公園・ キューケンホフへ向う。

Port of Rotterdam in the early morning of April 18, as seen from the cabin. The building at the middle has a unique shape. From the previous evening, our ship had been alongside the quay there. At 8:30, we started from the harbor by bus to go to Keukenhof,
the world's largest flower garden situated near Lisse.

キューケンホフの入り口から右手の奥まで進むと、この風車がある（毎年更新される園内の

Going from the entrance of Keukenhof to the right-side end, we arrive at this windmill (a map of Keukenhof, yearly updated, is linked here. Click the words "with plan").

風車のデッキから見下ろした風景。写真中程に黄色い上着で目立っている二人は、
私たちの旅の添乗員さん。写真右下には、大きな木靴が見える。

デッキからは、じゅうたんを敷きつめたような園外の花畑や、
そこを見回っている人の姿も見えた。

From the deck, we saw flower fields, which lay outside the garden and looked like
colorful carpets, as well as a person caring for them.

風車のすぐ近くにある日本庭園。

Japanese garden located in the vicinity of the windmill.

日本庭園付近にはサクラ ('Shirotae' という品種) が咲いていた。
オランダでの植物の撮影が、意外にも日本の植物で始まる。

Cheery trees (the cultivar named 'Shirotae') were in bloom near the Japanese garden. Unexpectedly, my taking pictures of plants in the Netherlands
began with Japanese ones.
