ヤマボウシの実 (Fruits of Kousa Dogwood)

　ヤマボウシ（山法師、山帽子、ミズキ科）。2011年9月25日、堺市・鳳公園で撮影。実は、木を美しく飾るだけでなく、食用になり、甘くておいしく、ワイン作りに用いられる場合もあるという [1]。

Kousa dogwood; botanical name, Benthamidia japonica; family, Cornaceae. The photo was taken in Ōtori Park, Sakai, on September 25, 2011. The fruit is edible, a sweet and delicious addition to the tree's ornamental value and is sometimes used for making wine [1].
