A pair of ceramic dolls, for the Girls' Festival, of the world's largest class (the man doll is 67 cm high, and the woman doll, 55 cm). These are being shown in the shop of Noritake Garden.

さる 3 月 6 日、朝日旅行社催行の日帰りツアー「愛知県美術館：印象派を越えて——点描の画家たち」に妻と参加した。『点描の画家たち』展は、「分割主義」という理念に着目し、この理念の核となるスーラ、シニャック、ゴッホ、モンドリアンなどの作品を、オランダのクレラー・ミュラー美術館の協力で、相当数ずつ展示している。最初に美術館学芸員による約 10 分間の説明を聞いた。その中で、モンドリアンの絵を、「デジカメの画素数を減らして行った極限」に例えていたのが興味深かった。
展覧会鑑賞後、JR 名古屋駅に直結している JR セントラルタワーズ 12 階のブラッスリー、ポール・ボキューズ・ラ・メゾンで、フレンチランチを食し、続いて「ノリタケの森」を見学した（2 枚目以下の写真参照）。寒い一日で、バスの走行中には雪が激しく降っている所もあった。しかし、名古屋は晴天で、楽しめる旅だった。

On March 3, my wife and I joined a one-day trip, sponsored by Asahi Sun Tours, to the Exhibition Divisionism from Van Gogh and Seurat to Mondrian being Held at Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art. A considerable number of works by each important painter of Divisionism were shown in cooperation with Kröller-Müller Museum in the Netherlands. We first listened to the explanation of about 10 minutes by a curator. It was interesting that she likened Mondrian's works to the limit of reducing the number of pixels in an image taken by a digital camera.
After looking at the exhibition, we had French lunch at Brasserie Paul Bocuse la Maison on the 12th floor of JR Central Towers directly connected to JR Nagoya Station. Then, we visited Noritake Garden (see the second to bottom photos). It was a cold day, and we saw snow falling heavily on a part of the trip course. However, it was fine weather in Nagoya, and the trip was quite enjoyable.
