2019 年 7 月 12、13 日、妻と長女を同伴して金沢へ墓参に行き、ついでに中学・高校時代にその近くに住んだ天徳院を訪れた。当時は観光の対象とはなっていなくて、由来も知らなかったが、最近は「珠姫の寺」という形容をつけて、からくり人形上演や DVD で珠姫の生涯を紹介するなど、観光客の誘致に努めている。珠姫は加賀藩三代藩主前田利常の正室で、天徳院の名は珠姫の戒名に因んでいる。
2 枚目の写真中央に見える朱塗り壁の鐘楼堂は、私が小学校 6 年生の時の図画の時間に、初めて水彩画で風景写生をする対象に選んだもので、その絵を今も持っている（イメージはこちら）。手前に木々が多く茂っている様子は、その頃と異なっていた。この鐘楼堂を再度見たいというのも、今回この寺を訪ねた一因だった。
上掲の組写真に入れ忘れた本堂正面の写真と、続いての散策で見て来た私の出身高校（名称も校舎も変わってしまった）の写真を下に載せる。
On July 12 and 13, 2019, I made a trip to Kanazawa to visit ancestors' graves with my wife and elder daughter. There we also visited one of the sightseeing spots, Tentokuin Temple, near which I had lived during junior and senior high school days. This temple was established in 1623 to commemorate Tamahime, who had been the wife of Toshitsune Maeda, the third generation feudal lord of Kaga Province in the Edo period. All the buildings were made during 10 years from 1693. However, those were destroyed by fire in 1768 except for sanmon (the main gate) and rebuilt thereafter. The photo of the front view of the main building, which I missed to add to the above set of photos, is shown below together with the photo of my alma mater (senior high school) near the temple.
