ペンキ風車 "De Kat (the cat)"。昔ながらの方法で原材料を粉砕して、
ペンキ用顔料を作るのにいまも用いられている。
Paint Mill "De Kat (the cat)," which is once again grinding raw materials
to make pigments for paints in the traditional way.
緑色の壁、白色の屋根の縁取り、そして白色の窓枠が特徴的な家々。

4月24日の5時頃「セレナーデ II 号」はアムステルダムに入港。6:00 からの朝食のあと、9:00 に下船し、バスでスキポール空港へ向う。14:40 発の KLM 便には時間の余裕があり、添乗員さんたちの配慮で、途中、企画になかったザーンセ・スカンスの観光が挿入された。
ザーンセ・スカンスは、アムステルダムの北約 15 km にあり、オランダらしい風景に出会える場所である。歴史的な風車と家々を集めてよく保存されていて、野外博物館の感があるが、ウェブサイト "Zaanse Schans" によれば、美しい生活と労働の場だということだ。最後に訪れたため印象に残りやすかったせいもあるかも知れないが、この特別観光先が、この旅で最も気に入った場所の一つとなった。
Around 5:00, April 24, Serenade II arrived at the Amsterdam port. After having breakfast from 6:00, we got off the ship at 9:00 and moved by bus toward Schiphol Airport. There was much spare time before the KLM flight of 14:40. So, the tour conductors kindly provided us an extra plan to visit Zaanse Schans.
Zaanse Schans is located about 15 km north of Amsterdam, and there we can see a typical Dutch landscape. It has a collection of well-preserved historic windmills and houses, which seem to make up an open-air museum but actually is a colourful living and working neighborhood, according to the Website "Zaanse Schans." This extra destination became one of our most favorite places on this tour, probably owing to the additional effect that the site visited last was easy to stay in our mind.

Windmills of Zaanse Schans.
塔が緑色で、上部に顔のようなデザインのある可愛らしい木挽き風車、その名は
De Gekroonde Poelenburg (the crowned poelenburg)。
A wood sawing windmill, whose tower is green and has the design like a lovely face at its top. The name of this windmill is de Gekroonde Poelenburg (the crowned Poelenburg).
『ウィキペディア』（英語版）の "Zaanse Schans" のページには5基の風車が一列に並んでいる写真があるが、私の撮った写真の中では、この1枚にかろうじて4基が写っている。
On the page of "Zaanse Schans" in Wikipedia, there is a photo in which five windmills in a row are seen. Among photos I took, this one shows a maximum number of four windmills, including one at a far distance on the left.
左の風車は、2枚上の写真の風車 De Gekroonde Poelenburg を
ほとんど真横から見たもの。

4月23日の18:30 から、お別れ夕食会が船の2階レストランで開催される。
From 18:30, April 23, a dinner-party for farewell was held in the restaurant on the second floor of the ship.

4月23日の18:00 から、お別れのドリンク・パーティが船の3階ラウンジで開催される。
From 18:00, April 23, a drink-party for farewell was held in the lounge on the third floor of the ship.

パーティ後、夕食までのひととき船室へ戻ると、沿岸の草地に鳥のいるのが
窓から見えた。カワウだろうか。
After the party, we went back to the cabin to stay there until dinner and saw from the window a bird on the coastal grassland. Is this a cormorant?

4月23日15時半頃、「フロリアード 2012」会場と別れ、16時頃に帰船。間もなく
アムステルダムへ向けて、最後のクルーズが始まる。
Around 15:30, April 23, we bade farewell to the venue of Floriade 2012 and came back to our ship at about 16:00. The last cruise towards Amsterdam soon began.
