The cover of the May 2019 issue of the journal of the Physical Society of Japan, "Butsuri."
I wanted to withdraw from the Physical Society of Japan (JPS) at the end of last year due to aging. However, I found that those who had been affected by Typhoon 21 were exempted from the 2019 membership fee. Thanks to the exemption, I have postponed the withdrawal, and the journal of the JPS, "Butsuri," is also arriving this year. The May issue of "Butsuri" has an interesting article, "The Japanese scientists who were awarded the Nobel Prize in the Heisei period (from 1989 to 2018)." (The photo on the cover shows those who were born in Japan and awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in this period.) The special feature in the May issue, "Tracks at Heisei Period. Part 1," which includes the above-mentioned article, is open to the public here (all the articles are in Japanese).
