6 (The Bus Trip for Viewing Wisteria Blossoms in Wake 6)

As shown by the photos in the previous posts, some wisteria trees in Fuji Park were blooming, but the scenery was far from that of the best time. Thus, the group entrance fee of 250 yen per person was refunded on the return bus.

The above photos were taken from the window of the bus. The top one shows Mt. Wake Fuji (173 m). The mountain range from Mt. Wake Fuji to Mt. Kōnoue, consisting of small mountains of heights from 370 to 170 m, is called Wake Alps, and it is said that we can enjoy walking through it like Alpine traversing. My wife just recently traversed this mountain range.

At many intervals of the highways in the return path, noise-prevention walls deprived us of the pleasure of looking at roadside views. In the outward course, we had marvellous views more often. At that time, however, I was sleeping most of the time, because I got up early, and missed taking pictures.

Though it was one of days in Golden Week, the bus ran smoothly without encountering a traffic jam, arriving at Ten'noji around 19:50, earlier than the schedule by about 40 minutes. The weather forecast was that it would be rainy until 15 o'clock, but we had quite a comfortable trip without being caught even in the slightest rain. (End)
