オランダ、ベルギー運河の船旅 ４０ (Cruise on Canals in the Netherlands and Belgium -40-)

4月23日に訪れた花博「フロリアード 2012」会場の地図。入場者に配られた約 40 cm × 60 cm のものを写真に撮った。クリックすると拡大されるが、それでも文字は読めない。キューケンホフ公園の2倍はあろうかという、会場の広さの概念図として
ご覧いただきたい。
The map of "Floriade 2012" we visited on April 23. The original, distributed to visitors, is of the size of about 60 cm × 40 cm. Clicking on the above image, you can see the expanded one. However, the characters will still be too small to read. The image is put here only to show the vastness of the venue, which seems to be as large as about two times of Keukenhof.

会場の地図中央よりやや左上に見える円筒形のパビリオン "Rabo Earthwalk"（実際には外枠が円筒形で、建物は逆さまの半球形）の屋上から見た会場風景。長方形の高い建物は、"Innovatoren" という名称で、Jo Coenen 氏が設計した高さ 70 m の、フロリアードのシンボル棟。花博の終了後は、ヴェルノ緑地公園の一部として利用されるという。
A view from the roof of the cylindrical pavilion Rabo Earthwalk, which is located at a little upper left from the center in the above map (in fact, what is cylindrical is the outer frame, and the building is of a semi-sphere upside-down). The high, rectangular building in the photo is of the name Innovatoren. It is 70-m high and is the Floriade icon designed by Jo Coenen. After the expo, it will become part of Venlo Green Park.

同じく会場風景。右手のドームでは、オランダの多様で豊かな園芸と暮らしの関係を表現した3分間、360度のフィルムが上映されている。
This photo also shows the landscape of the venue. At the dome on the right, a three-minutes, 360-degree film that expresses the relationship between diverse and rich Duch horticulture and life is on display.

上掲の各写真の中には、いずれも数個の空中キャビンが見える。これは長さ 1.1 km、高さ 30 m のゴンドラ・システムを形成していて、フロリアードの期間中、会場の一端から他端へ、客を5分間で運ぶとともに、会場の素晴らしい眺望と設計を俯瞰させてくれる。
In each photo shown above, some cabins running in air are seen. Those make a gondola system 30-m high and 1.1-km long. During Floriade, this gondola brings visitors from one side of the park to the other in five minutes and makes them appreciate the impressive landscaping and design of the park.
