ツメレンゲ：わが家で過去最大の花茎たち (The Largest Ever Scapes of Orostachys japonicus in Our Yard)

　写真はわが家の庭（プランター上）で咲いているツメレンゲ（ベンケイソウ科）の花。花茎がこれだけ大きく伸びたのは初めてのことである。一枚目の写真の左のもので、土から花茎上部までが 25 cm、右のものは 27 cm あった（2012 年 11 月 13 日の撮影時）。二枚目の写真は、花々がもっと成長した 11 月 25 日に、一枚目の写真では右に写っている花茎の根元付近を撮影した。

Photos above show flowers of Orostachys japonicus (Crassulaceae family) in our yard. These are the tallest scapes of this plant I have ever seen. When I took the upper photo (November 13, 2012), the scape at left was 25 cm tall, and one at right was 27 cm tall. The lower photo was taken on November 25 when flowers had grown further, and shows the lowest part of the scape at right of the upper picture.
