昼食後、われわれのバスは岐阜県可児市の花フェスタ記念公園へ向かった。ここには、2012 年現在、約 7,000 種 3 万株のバラが植えられ、品種数で日本一を誇っている。いまは、遅咲きのバラを見ることが出来る。写真は上から、記念公園の西ゲート、園内バス「ポッポ」、「バラ見台」から見た「世界のバラ園」、そして、各種のバラ:「コーラス、Paolino、フランス、1977」、「ユキサン、Meilland、フランス、1964」、「花笠、京成バラ園芸、日本、1978」、「フリージア、Kordes、ドイツ、1977」。(つづく)
After lunch, our bus headed to Flower Festival Commemorative Park, Kani, Gifu Prefecture. As of 2012, about 7,000 species and three million roots of roses are planted there, and this number of species is the top in Japan. Now, we can see the late-blooming kinds of rose. Photos above show, from top to bottom: the west gate of the park, the park bus "Poppo", a view of "Rose Garden of the World," and examples of different varieties of rose; "Chorus, Paolino, France, 1977," "Yuki San, Meilland, France, 1964," "Hanagasa, Keisei rose gardening, Japan, 1978," and "Friesia, Kordes, Germany, 1977."
