After a modest tourism in Echizen City, we stayed at the hotel "Kampo no Yado Fukui." Most of "Kampo no Yado" are located on a small mountain, and this hotel was also on the mountain of the name Mt. Osagoe (82 m above sea level). This mountain is one of three Asuwa Mountains together with Mts. Asuwa and Hachiman. There is Osagoe Minka En (Osagoe Old House Garden) near the hotel, but we did not have time to visit there. Next morning, I sketched the landscape from the window of the hotel (the above image).
While we were riding the courtesy car of the hotel to Fukui Station and a train to Kanazawa, it often rained, but luckily we were not caught in the rain after arriving at Kanazawa. Because the days of bon in the solar calendar coincided with three consecutive holidays this year, flowers were sold out one after another at the shops near Nodayama Cemetery. So, we had a rare experience of getting flowers only at the third shop we entered. You can read our daughter's blog post on the same trip here (in Japanese). (End)
