[To 高木六玄] 私が大学1年生だったのは1954年、『解析概論』は改訂になる前の増訂版第14刷、950円のハードカバー。当時としては高価な本でした。文はカタカナ書きの歴史的仮名遣い。「數ノ概念及ビ四則算法ハ既知ト假定スル．始メノ中ハ實數ノミヲ取扱フカラ一々斷ラナイ」という調子です。

[From 高木六玄] すごい！［改訂版が］現代仮名遣なのに雰囲気が古めかしいのは、その調子からなんですね。今では（という言い方も変ですが）2000円以下とお手頃価格。没後50周年で LaTeX で組まれた定本版も出ました。同じ高木貞治の『初等整数論講義』はまだまだちょっと高価ですが。
