山陰の旅１ (Trip to Sanin Region 1)

　さる4月22日から24日まで、妻と山陰の鳥取、島根両県へ旅をした。旅の1日目には鳥取県・倉吉市内で、重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に選定されている打吹玉川（うつぶきたまがわ）の白壁土蔵群・赤瓦の街並を見た（写真1、2枚目）。夜は同県の三朝温泉に宿泊。

From April 22 to 24, my wife and I made a trip to Tottori and Shimane Prefectures in San'in Region. On the first day of the trip, we saw Utubuki-tamagawa in Kurayoshi, Tottori. This area includes many store buildings with dozo ('soil lacquered' warehouses) built in Edo and Meiji era; and is one of nationally designated Preservation Area of Important Groups of Traditional Buildings. At night we stayed in Misasa Spa.
