オランダ、ベルギー運河の船旅 ３０ (Cruise on Canals in the Netherlands and Belgium -30-)

　キンデルダイクでの写真の続き。4枚目の写真の風車だけが、羽根に帆布が張られていて、使用するときの姿を示している。毎年7、8月の土曜日午後と5月第2土曜日は「風車の日」として、19基が一斉に回され、緑の牧草地と青い運河に帆が映える風景が見られるそうだ。

Continuation of the photos taken in Kinderdijk. Only the windmill in the bottom photo has canvas sheets on its sails, showing the appearance under working. Saturday afternoon in July and August and the second Saturday of May, each year, are "the windmill day," and the sails of all the 19 windmills are rotated, so that we can see beautiful scenery of sails shining in the green meadows and blue water of the canal.
