オランダ、ベルギー運河の船旅 ２３ (Cruise on Canals in the Netherlands and Belgium -23-)

　アントワープの写真の続き。今回は、ノートルダム大聖堂の内部で撮ったもの。フラッシュを使用してはいけなかったため、あまりよく撮れていない。

Continuation of photos in Antwerp; those taken in Cathedral of Our Lady. It is not allowed to use flash there, so that the quality of photos are not satisfactory.

「聖母の被昇天」（ルーベンス、1625〜1626）。
Assumption of the Virgin Mary by Rubens (1625–1626).

「キリストの昇架」（ルーベンス、1610〜1611）。『フランダースの犬』の主人公ネロが見たがっていた絵画の一つ。もう一つは次の写真に。物語の末尾において、ネロと愛犬パトラッシュはこれらの絵の下で、硬く抱き合って…。
Elevation of the Cross (also called Raising of the Cross) by Rubens (1610–1611). One of two paintings Nero, the main character of A Dog of Flanders, wanted to see. The other is in the next photo. At the end of the story, Nero and the dog he loved, Patrasche, were hugging each other tightly to … .

「キリストの降架」（ルーベンス、1611〜1614）。
Descent from the Cross by Rubens (1611–1614).

「キリストの降架」の絵の近くで、演劇の練習をしていた児童たち。
School children were practicing theater in the vicinity of the painting of
Descent from the Cross.

　『フランダースの犬』の日本語訳は、1929年の菊池寛によるものをインターネットの「青空文庫」で読むことが出来る。また、英語の原作は「プロジェクト・グーテンベルク」に収められている。（菊池寛訳では、「キリストの昇架」と「キリストの降架」は、「キリストの昇天」と「十字架上のキリスト」となっている。）
