The Geometrical Shape of a Kiss(キスの幾何学的形)

Last year I read the following joke somewhere.
The question is, "How would a mathematician analyze the geometrical shape of a kiss?" And the answer is, "Elliptical."
Do you understand why this is funny? "Elliptical" includes "lip." This cannot be a joke in a Japanese translation.

I think your joke is good. It is funny and mysterious.

This is not my joke. I now remember that I learned it from a commercial free e-mail service, "Today's Joke." The distributor now stopped that service.

Uh . . . mmm . . . I don't feel it funny. How about this?
Q: Everybody has this flower. What is this flower?
A: Tulip (Two Lips)
This is a question for a child!

It's nice you know that joke. I know it, too.
