コエビソウ (Shrimp Plant)

　コエビソウ（小海老草、キツネノマゴ科）。2011年6月12日、わが家の庭で撮影。さる冬の降雪の折に、半分ほどの分量の枝がなぎ倒されて枯れてしまったが、残りの枝は無事で、元気に花を咲かせている。

Shrimp plant, also called false hop or shrimp bush; botanical name, Justicia brandegeana; family, Acanthaceae. The photo was taken in our yard, June 12, 2011. On the occasion of snowfall in the last winter, about half the total number of branches were bent down and withered, but the remaining branches were safe and are showing beautiful flowers.
