Anemone; botanical name, Anemone coronaria; family, Ranunculaceae. I planted many bulbs last fall in the home yard. From one of them, a stem grew up exceptionally early in spite of cold days of early March, and a flower has bloomed (the photo was taken on March 12, 2011). I wish that those who suffered from the big earthquake in eastern Japan can quickly recover from damage.
