ヘレボルス (Hellebores)

　『ウィキペディア』の「ヘレボルス」の項に次のように記されている。

ヘレボルス（Helleborus）はキンポウゲ科のクリスマスローズ属に分類される植物の総称。ヘレボラスともいう。「クリスマスローズ」という呼称はクリスマスのころに開花する「ヘレボルス・ニゲル」だけを指した呼称であるが、日本の園芸市場では「レンテン・ローズ」と呼ばれる「ヘレボルス・オリエンタリス」なども「クリスマス・ローズ」の名前で出回る。多くの品種は、クリスマスのころではなく春に開花する。［2011年3月2日 (水) 23:53］

わが家ではこの花を長らく「クリスマス・ローズ」と呼んでいたのだが、昨年は「レンテン・ローズ」の名で掲載した。そして今年は「ヘレボルス」の名を知った。写真の花はピンク色をしているが、わが家には紅色の花の株もある。そちらは、ずいぶん繁って来て、多くの花をつける（いずれ掲載の予定）。2011年3月7日撮影。
